Lil Wayne is the first in what I hope is a long series of celebrities falling out of pocket. As a comedian, I’ve been told it’s important to “stay in the pocket of the joke” while on stage. Personally, I think it’s important for people to “stay in the pocket of their lives” on a daily basis as well. I nearly fell out of pocket the other day while hat shopping. I went to Lids because I wanted a nice, new, basic hat that I could wear daily. Something neutral colored, and not too flashy. But then I see one of these babies…

Luckily I did remember. Got me a nice grey hat with a suburban white curve in the bill.
Unfortunately, “Tunechi” (love everything about the guy except for that nickname) couldn’t help but fall out of pocket today.
Now, I love to judge people I don’t know, and my verdict here is that Lil Wayne is not a Tom Watson lifer like he claims to be. But I suppose we should have seen this coming. Weezy fell way out of pocket years ago the minute he picked up a skateboard.
P.S. Nothing would make me happier than finding out that Lil Wayne really did follow Tom Watson his whole life. A story about Tom Watson signing a ball for young Weasel coming off the 18th green at Pebble Beach would melt my heart.
